Where I Stay
By Hiya Ranka
I stay in rooms for a little too long
Longer than the needs of my service
Long enough to hear every talk that was supposed to be unheard of They don't see me eavesdropping
But I linger between their words
I mix up in the air
That fills up the room
Where they no longer hear me talking
I just wait till the chaos settles down
Then maybe in the darkness of it all
They see a pair of hazel-eye
Waiting to be recognized
I stay in rooms for a little too long
Longer than they anticipated
I stay to lose myself within those walls
Just to know what I am worth
Just to know how long it takes to be the forgotten one
