When You Have A Friend For Life...

A presence that makes you smile each day,

A presence that spells your scars away.

When the journey is accompanied by a passion,

Dissolved to entirety in a strange compassion.

When one’s own belief in oneself is surpassed,

By a bond of friendship so real, at last!

When the bond grows so much deeper,

To become a wish as to be forever.

When your mind aligns so much to another,

You don’t need words, for even the micro expressions would matter.

When all your shortcomings start vanishing,

It is them in whose presence you keep nourishing.

When someone becomes so much yours,

To give out the deepest of thoughts.

When you can’t bear a glimpse of their sadness,

for their smile is one that enlightens your fondness.

When you come to know that you are no more alone,

walking in the company of your own shadows.

For you know you have had a beautiful journey together,

From a complete stranger to one whose absence aches forever.

So, my dear friend, do you have such a friend for life?
