When They Walk Out

I sit down and talk to the sky when you’re missing,

I think that’s all I have now.

I’m told every time, “The universe likes you a little broken.”

Fix everyone by breaking your bones,

Run back to him but he isn’t your saviour.

Happiness tagged overrated,

I found my calm in him.

I saw a forever until the lover walked out midway,

And yet again,

I found myself counting breaths until 30.

Tell me what’s left of us,

Tell me what to fight for.
