When the Spark Fades

When the fire is fresh and burning bright

It’s easy to run, to dream, to write.

The world feels new, the sky feels near

Every step is lit, every voice we hear.

But real strength wakes when the fire dims low

When the path is rough, and progress is slow

Not every day we'll sing or shine

But still we walk life's jagged line.

We don’t endure just to survive

We push through storms to feel alive

For joy is deeper than delight

It’s loving the work when it steals our light.

So here’s to the days that drag and pull

To the tired hands and aching soul

We grow not when it’s easy or fun

But when we keep going, when most would run.
