When People Are Selflessly Kind

kindness is a trait not everyone cares to show

but when someone compliments how you’re

always a good listener

or about how you look good

in that outfit you were

previously feeling underconfident about

or when an old man

offers you his seat in the bus

after noticing you’ve been standing for too long

or when someone driving by

let’s you know that the watch

you were wearing was about to fall off,

you start to believe that

everyone possesses kindness

it’s just a matter of who shows it

selflessly
