When More Brims Over

We should be doing more

You could be doing more

More.

Outstretched arms reach on and on

Till they disappear

The same starving arms

That eagerly claw for morsels to quench parched lips

Desperately asking for more

More.

Lips that rip open

As they wretch the contents of a distorted dream

Only to want it more

More.

Demand the lecherous eyes of a faceless silhouette

As a child clutches her blankets and retreats into her mind

Where cries spill

Like slippery guts

Ripped open by bigotted swords

Their rancour shines like gold coins

That whisper

More.

like masters to slaves

More.

And the ground turns to oil

The animals don't survive but

Limbs still writhe

And the graves turn over

For a slick promise

And the sky descends

In a furious wave

Till the world is overrun with

More.
