What Will People Think

What will people think,

Let them think their worst,

It isn't on you to show your reasons,

Rather tell your own demons.

The validation some people need,

It’s almost despairing sometimes,

Some live for it, but none will die,

They live just to please someone's eye.

They sleep and wake and wake and sleep,

Imagining what others think,

Obsession shouldn’t it be proclaimed?

But no one calls it so, for they would be maimed.

They talk and talk and talk and talk,

So focused on the look of it all,

They lose sight of who they are,

Until they enter their thought bazaar.

Focus on the things that matter,

Matter to you,

New meaning you will find,

You shall never ever be confined.
