What they say

They say it's fine, just a phase of life

But what if that phase is a consistent fine

A fee for the deeds you did in past life

Making it hard to be rubbed off your file

They say, facing adversities make you stronger

But what if I want to be just a tad bit younger

Why can't it continue that way now and forever

The great phase shouldn't just disappear

They say, experience makes you mature

But what if it just makes you more cold

Seeming ignorant to the growing mold

And how it won't bother to live anymore

They say, sometimes you have to leave things behind

To better understand the meaning of all the lines

How they intersect and carve your destiny, divine

And make you feel , like you have had the best of times

They say, it leads to new opportunities

But what if you have left the best one in bits

How would you recover from a bad decision

If the next one comes to a worse condition

They say, although bad, it will still be experience

But not in the way you had expected the sense

It all led to this moment, by ounces and pence

The small steps have created a new way of defense

They say, the bad ones give more knowledge

As compared to the happy ones, specially college

But who wants to leave it behind on the edge

Knowing that the hell is on the other side of fence

They say, courage and humility, is the only way to go

But how do they imply, these are the ones to know

When without experience, you can't gain anyhow

And not every occasion, turns out into a subtle blow
