What Matters?
By Chirag Sharma
Come morning, he steps out for the daily fight,
A battle of battles, daily fought, daily lost.
Like a blind warrior, unarmed in a dark night,
And today a calling, from places deep and innermost.
Broken to smithereens, resolves the riven to give his last breath,
Vailing voices, inner noises, harsh choices- choices ever made.
Expectations hold thy surge, and thee die a daily death,
For there’s just one in a pack- the effulgent ace of spades.
Faces up and faces down, all colours must come around,
Yet no remorse for opacity of those,
Those forever in the moment of daily seclusions found,
And in that moment, praise thy lord whose path thee chose.
For in the end, a discourse with the creator,
Is all that matter, is all that matters!
