What is LOVE anyway?

Gazing at the stars from afar,

I couldn't help but succumb to my scars.

“Love is an illusion,” they say-

A conjecture with a definable limit, per se.

But I refrain.

For love is the cosmic cast encompassing my heart,

The tapestry intricately woven

Over the hearth of my igniting spark

By glimmering stars.

Love is, but a

Futile paradigm of life,

Transcending dimensions of space and time.

I long for the warmth of sincere love-

Not sent by a person, but from above.

I dream of a life

So deeply entwined with starlight,

For a dream is but a vision of the skies.

I seek treasure in the jeweled night

That hides beyond

The periphery of my sight.

An ecstatic vision makes its way,

Like ripples formed within a wave,

Fostered by the enchanting void.

I reflect upon my besieging strives:

A dreamer is a messenger of the stars.

Still, some cluelessly ask,

“What is love, anyway?”
