What Is It That You Do...?

Every time that I talk to you,

I feel so many feelings, some very new!

I feel nervous to share them, at times,

nervous of your reactions, and mine.

That’s why I pour them down here

in an effort to sort them, without any fear.

Sometimes it’s the unrevealed happiness,

on seeing your caring tenderness,

and sometimes it’s the overwhelming feeling,

that I hide, looking at the ceiling.

Times when I can’t listen to your voice,

and I can’t even make any noise,

I silently cry myself to sleep,

thinking about all the hurt, which hit me deep.

When I talk to you,

your sight takes away all the dread too,

the dreadfulness of losing you,

which scares me all year through.

Unfortunately, you make me feel sad,

about all the time we lost, so never had,

and the times we misunderstood each other,

due to someone else’s bother.

Times when we fought,

were like a drought,

I felt numb and emotionless,

no, not even stress.

Then suddenly, I felt scared, furious, let down,

curious, and a lot more, all with a frown.

When you say you don’t deserve us,

I almost shout that you’re wrong and unjust,

to me, to us, and to our emotions,

even though, they become our healing potions.

I get frustrated, when I can’t hug you,

or hold your hand, or look at you.

Everything seems unfair,

when you are not sitting with me, right there.

I would want to thrash the screen,

that separates us just by a sheen.

But, all these sorrows, turn into excitement,

excitement to see your adorable cheek- dents!

Those jitters and butterflies,

and the anxiety that’s so high,

all peep out at the thought of meeting you,

and go away, the moment I see you!

What should I call this cocktail of emotions?

I think, it’s called LOVE, in conclusion.
