What I Truly Desire

By Nakul Balar

In Japan, for New Year's, a sight so grand,

With fireworks aglow, holding your hand.

Or stargazing in Hawaii, a cool, dark night,

On wet grass we'd lie, bathed in moonbeams bright.

A house we would share, with a warmth ever bright,

Where we cook food together, a wonderful sight.

Not just food on the table, but so much more, dear,

With laughter and love, banishing all fear.

I wish we'd be in a pool, beneath skies so blue,

Splashing water on each other, just me and you.

Laughing so hard, till our stomachs would ache,

Joyful moments together, for goodness sake.

I wish we'd be in a cafe, a sweet, quiet place,

And I'd slightly move your hair, from your beautiful face.

To the back of your ear, in a tender display,

While you're confused by the menu, I'd simply just gaze.

I want to surprise you with random gifts, so very true,

Every time that we meet, my love, just for you.

To see that beautiful smile on your face, gleaming so bright,

When you open them, filling my soul with pure light.

I want to go deep into your eyes, so profound and so clear,

And completely get lost in them, banishing all fear.

While you drink the coffee of yours, slowly and with grace,

I'd find my whole world, in your captivating face.

I want you sitting back of me, on my bike, holding me tight,

Comforting yourself, in the soft, fading light.

As we go slow to the endless roads, stretching so far,

Just us on this journey, beneath every bright star.

In the end all i truly desire is you and nothing else,

No other can matter, as my whole being tells.

In every moment of life, by your side I'll remain,

To see you the happiest, through sunshine and rain.
