What Expectations Cost You

Many a people weave their failures with words,

Blaming expectations to be a reason,

Obliged to let go of beloved as quick as birds,

With pain, with frustration, our own expectations form the beacon.

Didn't we talk every now and then before,

Weren't we bothered of how we were to each other,

In a string full of memories, gossip and laughter,

Sadly, unintentionally and eventually had expectations on the level master.

It's said that it gives only pain,

How didn't we realise quick that our relationship may go in vain,

Didn't it take time to change our 'I love you' to I will miss you,

Have you now known what expectations cost you?
