Wellshmerz - velt schmehrts

(N.) a painful sadness caused by comparing the imperfect world to the works you wish existed

If only if only I lived in a world

Where the seas washed away hate

And the ground swallowed guilt

And the sky cried tears that healed

If only if only I lived in a world

Where sin was nothing but stories

And the people lived in righteousness

And no son was lost and no daughter was mislead

If only if only I lived in a world

Where I never hurt and never cried

And I held hands with the ideas of a better tomorrow

And I was never stressed and tired

And I twirled with a man I was not afraid of

If only if only I lived in that world
