I was there when you needed me to,

But why couldn't I find you when I searched for you?

Is it just me or were we really not meant to be?

Waiting by the window in hopes you would be here,

Only to realize that dreams have never been fair.

Losing myself while holding onto you,

Took me a while to perceive you were never the one for me,

I chose to love you even when i knew,

I chose to love you knowing we weren’t meant to be.
