We Still Friends, But Not The Same

By Fathima Shahzadi

Its been long,

Long time since we met

And we came a long

Way together.

Laughing, fighting,

Living together.

It was fun to be with you,

We were friends.

I thought we were

Walking together,

But now I doubt, was

I dragging you around.

I thought we were

happy together,

but now what I only see

is a cage I build for you.

And prefer letting you go.

To see you laugh from

Afar still shines my eyes.

We still friends,

But not the same.
