We're More

Our shadows are tinged with all the colours only hands that kill Patriarchy can see. Our eyes are forever filled with all the dreadful beauty of the sea, our souls full of whale songs, our lips drenched with the depths of all the terrible love we can never fathom. We're forging new four-way lanes on unchartered territory everywhere. We're all the fires our mothers tried to put down.

We're all the taboo lain bare open for public view. We're stripping down the pride you hid between our legs because we knew we were more, and we are ready, so ready, to set the world ablaze. Because, we are all the women our mothers told us not to be. We're all the men our mothers made us wait for. We're laughing in metaphors and dancing in dreamscapes because we know we're more, we're more, we're more.
