Wax Models climax.

In the Kingdom of Mysore, there Lived a wise king named Vikram. He was well known for his justice to mankind in the Kingdom.

In his kingdom lived Sidharth, the well-known sculptor who built beautiful models made of rich metals, such as silver and gold. The King loved his modelling and often rewarded him for his fine work. This act of the King made Ganpat, the wax sculpturer jealous.

Ganpat used to make wax models and statues to earn his livelihood. He always compared his work with Sidharth's and felt sad, as Sidharth’s work was appreciated much by the kingdom. So, to make himself worthy in front of the kingdom, he worked hard and developed his skills to such an extent that nobody could make out the difference between a wax model and a metal statue. His wax models completely resembled Sidharth’s models.

This news soon reached the wise King Vikram. The King disliked Ganpat's copying of Sidharth’s work. So, the King advised Ganpat that wax is unique in itself, could be used for other innovative purposes, and should not be used in designing replicas of Sidharth’s models.

But Ganpat was reluctant to seek King Vikram’s advice. Instead, he insisted that he continue copying Sidharth's models, as he could easily fool around the people with his skillful replicas and earn a good amount of money in a short span of time. The king was helpless to console Ganpat and walked away.

One day there was an announcement in the Kingdom of a big event in which all the sculpturer’s from around the world were supposed to take part and display their statues and models in front of all the delegates of the world.

Sidharth was overjoyed to learn the announcement and decided to participate in that great exhibition. Soon, he got busy modelling beautiful sculptures and designing a number of beautiful artefacts of men and women working and dancing together. He was so deeply engrossed in making the masterpieces that he almost forgot the world. And his hard work certainly paid off, as the king selected his artefacts to showcase for that big event.

Ganpat was taken aback to see the beautiful masterpieces and decided to design the replica’s of Sidharth’s work and exhibit in that event. He was determined to pull him down, dominate the event, and get the credit. This came to the notice of the King. He asked him to stop copying Sidharth and be original at his work. But Ganpat was again reluctant; on the contrary, he challenged the king, saying that his replicas would sell more than Sidharth’s models, as his replicas were cheaper than Sidharth’s models, and he would soon end up earning more than Sidharth’s income.

The King was mad at Ganpat’s attitude and decided to teach him a lesson for life. So, he accepted the challenge in high spirits.

He then made arrangements to exhibit the work of famous artisans on the large open grounds of his kingdom.

And the big day was welcomed by the bright Sunrise with great pomp and show.

All the people and artisans from renowned kingdoms had gathered on the big ground to witness the show.

All the renowned artisans were enthusiastic about showcasing their artefacts. Ganpat, too, was in a good mood to showcase his replicas, which were intended to lower Sidharth’s models. Earlier in the morning, Ganpat’s wax replicas were in demand as they were cheaper than Sidharth’s rich and genuine metal models, and he earned more than Sidharth quickly and fast.

But Sidharth remained calm and composed and had complete faith in his work.

Soon, the Sun shone brightly, and the temperature started rising high. And to the people’s astounding, Ganpat's wax replicas gradually melted. The models' facial expressions and figures slowly started to deform and distort. Ganpat couldn’t handle this distortion and the situation got out of his control. At the same time, Sidharth’s metallic masterpieces started to shine brightly in the broad daylight of the Sun. Soon, the people could notice the distorted figures from a distance and got attracted to the shining metallic masterpieces of Sidharth’s. In a short time, Sidharth's sales started to rise with leaps and bounds, and he earned way better than Ganpat. Very soon, he became rich and famous. While Ganpat regretted copying Sidharth’s work, for he had to face a huge loss.

The King was overjoyed to see Sidharth’s work in demand and appreciated his hard and diligent work. He rewarded him with Gold coins and Jewelry. The Kingdom was happy for Sidharth and celebrated his success. While Ganpat learned a hard lesson.

The moral of the story: Be original in your work, and don't be jealous and copy others. And, As you sow, so you reap.
