Wasted Paper

By Mallika Kanneganti

There is only one blank paper

and the ink you use is permanent.

Please be careful not to mess up,

since you’ll be stuck with your mistake.

The ink you use is permanent.

People keep adding different colors

But now I’m stuck with your mistake.

I don't like your color anymore.

People keep adding different colors.

Your ugly gray covers my kid cousin's sky blue.

I don't like your color anymore.

Too bad it still shows through the white-out.

Your ugly gray covers my kid cousin's sky blue.

This paper was prettier before you.

Too bad you still show through the white-out.

I hope someone can draw over you.

This paper was prettier before you.

Do you waste a lot of trees like this?

I hope someone can draw over you.

I hope you recycle at least.

Do you waste a lot of trees like this?

If you don’t recycle, at least,

the next paper, be careful not to mess up.
