Solute to the ones 

Who saved our lives 

Protected the nation 

Sacrificing their lives…

Solute to the one 

Who rode her horse 

With a sword in her hand 

Fought all the enemies 

To get back our land,

And freedom and speech,

Every right they had…

Solute to the one 

So marvelous and majestic

One who spoke royalty 

With a kingdom so large 

And thousands of cavalry 

And an army in hand

With elephants and horses

Coming right up in one command…

The red and white curtains,

The carpets so long 

Colorful flower gardens

Enormous gates and doors 

Filled with tunes and songs…

The trumpets so loud,

Drums and horns 

That played such beautiful sounds 

That soothed minds of all…

Solute to the one 

Whose name was feared 

By anyone who heard it,

Struck their ears like spears

The one who was trained 

And mastered in all fields,

Archery, fencing, you name it,

Could do with such ease…

Solute to the one

Who fought so bravely 

That people like us 

Write stories and poetry…
