Vaping: An Irony In The Making

As a 40+ year old guy with nothing else do to

but smoke.

with my life an empty, completely broke,

three minutes away from having a stroke,

I wished to hide my sins under a cloak,

under which I ‘help’ , at least I pretend

I invented it, didn’t realize it’d be a trend,

but I guess that the old man’s luck, my friend -

a vape, for my smoking journey to end.

to stop spending dollars to self-help

and pesky psychologists turning my mind into kelp

for me to get over my addiction, it did help

but these kids leaving reviews on yelp

disturb me, the irony oh lord

‘The solution for a generation to get over

an addiction has become the addiction for

another’
