Until…

I waited for the sun to rise,

But the night seemed so long,

Until I opened my eyes to understand.

I waited for the day to begin,

Bu8t the time seemed to stop.

Until hopes of mine were unraveled.

I waited for the doors to be opened,

But the locks were bolted.

Until I counted upon myself.

I waited for the summer to enter my dark room,

But the darkness prevailed,

Until I opened the windows.

I waited for the world to change,

But it never seemed a better place,

Until I discovered Myself.
