Unheard Whispers
By Ria Srivastava
In the depths of my heart, there's a silent pain
Words unspoken, thoughts in vain
I long to open up, to lay it all bare
But a dream-like fog, leaves me in despair
On one hand, I dream of reaching the stars
On the other, of walking with someone, side by side, no bars
I want to tell everyone, everything that's on my mind
But the noise of the crowd, makes my voice hard to find
When I try to do it all, I end up with naught
But when I focus on one thing, my battles are fought
Perhaps, I don't need to do everything, to feel complete
Maybe, all I need to do is listen to my heart's beat
The words I tell myself, shape who I am
They become my reality, my life's exam
So, I'll learn to love myself, and believe in my worth
For, that's the only truth, that holds any real worth
The words I tell myself, shape who I am
They become my reality, my life's exam
So, I'll learn to love myself, and believe in my worth
For, that's the only truth, that holds any real worth
I won't let the world's noise drown my voice
I'll let my heart lead me, it's my choice
For in being true to myself, I'll find my peace
And my heart's dreams, will finally find release
