Seems like it was lang syne when I met you and saw your face.

I told my inner zest that I love you.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.

I glowered at you.

You glowered at me.

You clenched my hand and coached me.

But a vein of abhorrence ran inside my blood.

You belonged to a different dogma.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.

He bemoaned and I burst into tears.

I thought would hold you in my arms.

I would take all the malady away.

There’s nothing I could do.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.

By hook or crook it’s a different story now.

Sometimes I wanna call you.

To be all ears your voice again.

But I know everything is reciprocated now.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.

Somedays I feel broke inside but I won’t give the nod.

Sometimes I just wanna stow away because I miss you.

It was hard to say adieu.

I was not precise to say no.

There’s nothing I could do.

To have just one more chance.

To squint into your heaviness of heart.

And see you looking back.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.

Wished I just have one more sidereal day.

To tell you how much I have reverence for you.

Since you were away.

It was viperous, godforsaken, and in doldrums.

It was totally and miserably out of line.

To try and turn back time.

Sorry for nagging you and throbbing myself.

Only I knew what I know today.

You gazed at me but I beat the rap away.
