Underneath the smiling face She was afraid of many things She had a fear Fear of letting anyone down She wanted to be the one who teachers adored Even when the child in her was telling her otherwise She saw him getting the love and standing ovation While she was made fun of But she was the class clown Everyone thought she was used to it But the heart inside told her it was not right
