Under The Same

Of pains I endured,

From wounds that didn't get a cure,

The burning heat of failure,

The future I was unsure.

The world spinned ahead,

Everybody seemed to be doing great.

Only me of all the people,

I thought,weren't being real.

Little did it occur to me,

Behind those smiles-dazzling and pretty.

Hid quivering sobs and rants,

Of how they felt like petty ants.

Behind that gorgeous red lipstick,

Were dried lips, sad since a week.

Over the sharp jawline of his,

Lay countless panic attacks that didn't cease.

Maybe we don't truly feel,

That the smile and the beauty is all reel.

It's not just me who is afraid,

There are thousands whose eyes are red.

It's just that the curtain has fallen over,

But the saddest is the joker.

Maybe we couldn't see

We all are somewhere trying to pass the same sea.
