Under The Moonlit Sky

Not a single stroke of breeze is blowing, not a single leaf moving.

The branches are all stationary, it's quiet, the darkness around embraced in my arms. I sit down on the little balcony, and the peace fills my void, slowly giving up the restlessness, I lie down on the grassy flooring. Looking up at the city life's night sky, I see the moon peeking out underneath a floating cloud. The soothing temperature calms me down, the qualms of life slowly vaporizing into thin air, I breathe slowly!

The night sky tells me to switch off my mind, the thoughts, and the worries, but I can't. My mind isn't free from the clutter of thoughts that ping me during the day! The subconscious isn't giving away what it knows! It knows too much of myself, the thought of the wretched times, the failures, of what's to come with a gush, all my blood rush, the adrenaline is heightened, as I catch hold of the pillow below!

I turn over, the panic ceases, lying down all alone, your shadowy presence allows me to breathe slowly; the thought of you coming round, the thought of you leaving behind the life, the thought to start again completely oblivious of the future, the chain of thoughts and the words of command, my lonely heart knows not to weep, but to stay steered through most of life's little struggles!

I look up, the moon now slowly being visible to the world, half crescent, curved edges, yellowish tones all over it, illuminating the sky, the stars look in awe and I look up for one last time tonight!
