Unconditionally

Is your love unconditional?

What if someday I tell you I've kissed a boy at 14,

The same day you cooked for me and fed me

Believing I'm your innocent love

Will you still love me?

When you'll know that I used to read about strings under the sheets while I sit on top of our home

When, the very next day, you used to proudly brag about my reading list to guests as Id modestly deny reading as much.

Wonder why I never shared my love.

Will I still be unconditionally loved?

When one day you'll open up my closet door and find me standing in the corridor.. Kissing a girl I barely know..

Will you still shield me

From all the bad deeds

Of this world.

Will you look at me the same way

Will I still be your little girl?

What will you do

When you'll find out

I've smoked and I've drank

And That I've talked to strangers for hours

And that I've consoled people left broken by you.

Your nemesis.

Will I still be your love?

If I fight from the other side in this war like life?

Will you still hug me before bed? In the moonlight?

Will you let me get home a bride?

Will I even be in your life?
