Uncertainty
By Simran
Wind tiptoes on my skin
as the news spreads of uncertainty. She calls my name, loud and clear speaks from my heart to run and fear but i paint from broken bangles
the colors of uncertainty.
It was good to see their faces, the way they smile and wrinkle their eyes, the touch of fragility left the darkest scars on my threshold
I couldn't leave home within uncertainty.
Star shopping in the sky while i sit on the terrace, mother says she became a star, but there's no furnace burning wishes I go to the periphery, lean from the wall see the paint coming off while
old fingers shake hands with uncertainty.
Be or not to be, i carry such courage on my sleeves, where vulnerable moments smile and i see, my life in a nutshell. Wondering in the trees, counting their ages, that same old tree in front of my house, who sits idle breathing uncertainty.
