Twisted Lies

By Shanaya Kacheria

the dark ascended upon the brightness as she cried,

losing people to useless situations had her head fried,

this girl felt like something in her had died,

forgetting and moving on was harder each time she tried.

is true happiness derived from a moment?

every one of her loverboys were just all disappointments.

does it have to always be butterflies and then nightmares?

why can't it feel like an everlasting funfair?

why the joy and then the pain?

her brown eyes filled with red streaks because of her going insane,

every merry moment gone down the drain,

how she would love to go far away in memory washing train.
