Twenty Short Years
By Suchismita Mandal
There was a tiny snake on the little screen,
Which grew with every bite it ate.
It had monopoly and vanity by its side.
Little did he know that it will soon be forgotten and...
Replaced by bunch of men with guns and
Kids racing to succeed the game of squid
In the screen which is now smarter than ever.
Twenty short years later woodenness, race and coldness are the order of the day
Will the reptile again surface to bring back the glory.
Or hmmm...better can the body time travel to black and white again
to concur with the yearning of the heart.
The grey matter collected itself of whatever left,
Said exuding more of mockery…
“Not until there is last of green or human heart left.”
