Truth, Knowing & Silence

knowing, observing all these truths-

does not make living any easier;

does not alleviate pain at all.

what it does do, however,

is give birth to-

despondency;

despair;

numbness;

blinding future.

and still, the question remains:

why cannot people be kinder towards one another?

why cannot people live a content life,

with whatever they have?

say 'this is enough' and feel true to it?

why cannot people imbue love and amity?

why cannot everyone see god in each other?

and i,

i repeat. again.

i am tired of this rat race of a world.

this barren wasteland of emotional discard

that has become humanity.

i go on.

because the cycle of life goes on.

proliferating as ever pathetic, as the eons churn.

i live but do not live.

and all my words,

and the consequent echoes-

ever growing a silent whisper;

growing deader

and duller.

ad infinitum.

until what remains:

a throttled silence.
