True love

This feeling, so raw and real

Which began with our very first meeting

Oh! What is this emotion

I’ve searched nights spent sleepless

With each of our conversations

I’ve started to feel

This feeling rising and growing

With no intention of fading

At first I thought this must be it

An attraction, addiction or worse

And obsession

But with time I came to know

With feelings all tangled inside

That this was the birth

Of my heart's very first desire.

It’s amazing what love can do

To a person

But even more amazing

Is what it accomplishes

By creeping into hearts of kindred souls

For true love is not found at once,

Nor spoken in a single day

It grows in quiet moments shared,

Until the heart can find its way.
