Tree Is Not Always Romantic

At my place (tree) I was having a meal,

a dog like me came and asked for a piece of meat.

I knew it was a very big deal

but after seeing him in this burning heat,

I called him underneath

gave him the piece of meat.

He saw as if he had seen a God,

but how do I explain that I am a beggar

and this life is not an award.

This dog came to me like a teacher,

he never asked for another piece.

Though he was a different creature,

he understood and waited in peace.

We became friends, we shared our food,

no one ever came to me like this like a fool

but he did, and it felt good.

We are two different creatures with same fate.

Will God at least listen to this little mate

and open that heavenly gate?
