I want to travel,

Travel far beyond this city

Far away from it’s hustle-bustle

This crude city with no pity

Where everyday living becomes a tussle

I want to travel,

Travel away into the high hills

Chains of mountains big and small

Which produce around them a sweet chill

Where trees stand short and tall

I want to travel,

Travel towards those high peaks

Snow-clad, frozen, white and still

In whose surroundings my heart speaks

Fearless, open, without any drills

I want to travel,

Travel to the land of Tibetan flags

That sway in the breeze with a pride

Proving peace to all riches and rags

Whose presence brings a spring in my stride

I want to travel,

Travel to the south of my nation

Where there are incessant rains

That pave the way to many creations

To be gazed at while travelling by trains

I want to travel,

Travel to the sands of the deserts

Where people stand in attires bright

And face all their joys and hazards

To whom the storms don’t give a fright

I want to travel,

Travel to the silent standing lands

They see and hear all that goes

Silent witnesses to the times’ sands

Never tire of being on their toes

I want to travel,

Travel to the mist covered paths

Where nothing is visible at all

It is nature’s blanket, not it’s wrath

In that mist, walkers never fall

I want to travel,

Travel away into the scorching heat

Of the sun shining on southern land

It comes unfailingly on it’s beat

People just sweat as they stand

I want to travel,

Travel to the nights spent on a beach

Coloured sand shining in moonbeam

Those vibrant shades beyond my reach

March in my eyes as a soldier’s team

I want to travel,

Travel towards the unending oceans

Surrounded by waves on all sides

The waters more magical than potions

It opens it’s arms strong and wide

I want to travel,

Travel into the woods very deep

Where the sounds of nature are close

As much as I want, nothing’s mine to keep

It is just like temporary medicine’s doze

I want to travel,

Travel to the small town’s market

Where people throng on pavements

The world is confined to an arcade

For an hour’s delight, half day they drive

I want to travel,

Travel to those far stretched fields

Where fragrant flowers dance and sway

Where only pleasure and breeze yields

The tingling in your body, making you gay

I want to travel,

Travel to those imaginary places

That exist in an artist’s mind

Where long hours are spent on gazes

That look towards the beauty kind

I want to travel,

Travel where my soul leads me towards

On the never ending green dusty roads

That go nowhere but only forwards

With soul thirsting destinations on board.
