Trapped In A Circus
By Pooja Jain
Hey! You ethological and so called civilized people.
We gaze at you.
With grief-sticken eyes speaking about our melancholy and despondentness.
Asking submissively simple interrogations.
What on earth have we done to you people?
Haven’t we’ve been trustworthy to you?
Haven’t we’ve been courteous to you?
Haven’t we’ve been under the wire for you?
Or been there was lack of fondness or amorousness showered on you?
You take us casually.
Human being utilize us for their own pre-meditation.
While we thought they would show benignancy and forbearance towards us.
But they use us for some green backs and almighty dollars.
They use us for mere leisure activities.
All we want is just love, care, affection and shelter.
But you caged us inturn.
It prickles and hurt us.
We moan and grouse plenty of times but its of no use.
We can’t defend ourselves.
We can’t even broil with them.
We’ve got no voice that’s why we cannot even retaliate.
We’ve been attached with them said the animals.
Tiger said put me down please.
It’s a crowded place said the elephant.
My tail becomes a millions laugh aforesaid the monkey.
Horse galloping everywhere and neighing.
We thought that these human sapiens would treat us pleasantly.
They left us in this dreadful cage with belts and ropes tied tightly all around.
Why did they leave us?
Why did they snatched our freedom?
Just to please the people.
All animals want to howl and weep.
But they were left with nothing but to plead.
Only left with a question.
Don’t humans love and adore us?
If so, then why they abuse and trap us?
