I may not be able to grin forever

So let me frame pictures a few

I may not be able to love forever

So let me say I do.

I may not be able to live forever

So let me live a life of altruistic hue.

I may not be able to see forever

So let me embrace the stars in the sky blue.

I may not be able to speak forever

So let me shout what I feel is true.

I may not be able to walk forever

So let me run barefoot, without a shoe.

I may not be able to fight forever

So let me unleash the warrior concealed from view.

And when I turn to dust,

Dusk shall emerge, anew,

While I, a drifting soul,

Would shine, without a clue.

They say nothing lasts forever

But you know regrets do.

So why not drink that wine of desire

And dance to the beat of the heart,

See where it takes you?
