Transcendence

By Shuchi Lakhanpal Kalia

On a day dripping drizzles

Sunshine falling astray

I went there on a full moon night

For the moon was mine I say

I did not want to be the moon,

I did not want to reflect

I wanted a me stronger than the Sun

Yet here I was.. The Moon

This was someone who tainted my Sun

“I am the Light” I knew

On a day filled with transcendence

I was the Sun I knew

Small reasons to know that

More than one Sun exist

And I am here to shine so bright

And let the others co-exist

Hope and love are strong,

They make the surreal come alive

Everything stands for a cause, a reason

Mine was ME, I strive

I am here now fully

My smiles, my laughter in me

For how could I be lonely

With me around me
