Toothache Of Sanity

The tick of a tooth is like a nag of kin

It starts low and slowly goes in

The pain is sharp, an unwelcome guest

A relentless reminder of unwanted requests

A toothache starts off small and then grows

Relatives opinions can do the same

It’s hard to ignore, can’t be denied

Both can drive you crazy and make you hide

The tooth wants a root canal to take away the pain

The relatives want you to act a certain way again

Neither are easy to get rid of,

It’s hard to find a way to make them stay off

The tooth will eventually go away with time

But relatives opinions can stay for a lifetime

It’s hard to ignore, but it’s better to try

It’s the only way to keep your sanity
