Howls I hear from the silent grove

If it is truly a crime to be

in pain? and to ask-no-cry for help,

forgive me for being the delinquent that they paint me as!

For, all I knew was that 'pain binds us all',

'pain makes us human'-but I guess it just makes us weaker now.

I'm sorry that I don't run on oil,

Cause it's love, care, and trust that give me life!

Believe me when I say, there are times when I wish,

to close my eyes and shut my mind,

to wake up after a century

to a story that's easier to narrate and to live!

You see, I didn't lose the game.

But somewhere in there, I just lost myself.

And now I second-guess myself,

"Maybe it was all in my head...?"

But could imagination ever hurt so much?

Choke you to death or take your breath away?

Maybe it was real and unreal at the same time?

Or maybe...

It was the chapter that I should've torn off,

let alone read at all!
