To The One Who Left, Yet Stayed By

I wish we were together, the way we have been since I was born; You nurtured and cared for me as if I'm a baby corn.

Your consistency and discipline always annoyed me,

Now I've become clumsy and all those things have faded from me.

I never understood your mixed emotions and your approach towards life. Maybe, it's the relation of our blood which helps me to guess your mind. People say a very kind and truthful person is very hard to find,

But I have you- a gift that can't even be compared with Kuber's wealth

Nowadays nothing affects me more than your absence;

You have indulged the bad habit of dependency on me.

Now see the results, for me it's too tough

And gradually your behavior is becoming so rough.

However, I love you up to the endless sky and bottomless sea. I wish, that today I could see

The pink shades in your blushing cheeks;

And those ivory teeth protruding out in delight.

Today is the day when you first inhaled the air and gave a signal with merry tears. Now, please don't shed those endless rain in remembrance of homeland and me; I know how much you miss us but you have to be strong and embrace the solitude, As you have gone there to find your better self and not to lose yourself amidst the multitude.
