To Say, To Leave
By Rhea Rouseau
Lost minds drift with time Like the oceans and tides,
that sail through the night.
When thoughts are alike,
we share the same life. When tears come to mind,
I'm leaning by your side.
Never shadowed by truth Never murdered by sight
Destiny was cruel,
or well we thought sometimes. Overlaying the bad, Repeating the good. You said you were mine, gosh!
I felt like a fool
Dandelions vanishing, just like you
Saying you were mine was just
“The trick of jewels.”
Now here, now then,
I wouldn’t come back for you.
We were only temporary,
Not a story to be true.
