To Run Or Not To !

I see the waves crashing towards me.

That moment, my instinct says,

Run away , run away!

The roaring scares , with that maddening dormant energy!

But I calm myself,

Standing as the eddy crashes at my feet.

I stand awestruck,

It feels like, I have been washed of all impurities.

It’s a sheer bliss!

Oh god , if at all I Had run away !!

I see the thunderbolt from my windowpane,

And the pearl-like rain drops.

There is a huge tapping sound on my steel roof,

Accompanied by rushing wind!

It felt nerve wrecking.

I wanted to run and slip into my cozy covers.

But I did dare go out,

Held my face towards the sky and stretched my arms!!

The rain splashed my face , So did the cold chilly wind!

Alas it was a waw feeling!

Oh god, if at all I had run away !!

There was this tall mountain,

With enormous rocks to climb.

And formidable little streams to cross.

I can’t swim and what if I fall from that height!

The sun was glistening above,

My energy weak and my confidence wavering.

I did manage to climb,

Step by step , huffing and puffing,

Only to reach the top of the cliff .

The view was mesmerizing.

I felt like I could stay there forever, till eternity!

Oh god, if at all I had run away !!

The problems of life all look alike.

The uncertainty is that enigma,

Which adds that eerie touch to life !

The human tendency not to believe ,

In himself or the world around,

Is just what is needed to complete the cycle.

The point is in rising up!

Taking that each uncertain fear-filled step ,

Transform that entire journey into a blissful experience !!

Hey wake up and don’t run away !

You are more than you think !

And are meant to live and reach the eternal end!
