This bleak world that you are born into,

Will eventually swallow your softness and grace.

But know this my sweet,

Every courageous breath u take,

Will keep the best part of me alive.

Treasure the cops of your newborn,

The ode of their giggles,

Exactly how I’m cherishing them now.

And when you step out into the sea,

Seep in the Pervenche

And blot out all the attrament of your pain.

Embrace the nostalgia of your photographs,

The awe when you look at your younger self,

The way I look at you now.

Uncover a piece of heaven in the little moments when you feel like yourself again.

Know that the melancholy of your silence will be shattered with time.

And when you feel like you can’t make it,

Hold on to the jade in your eyes,

For they are mine.
