“To Love and Be Loved”

Strings of light shimmer over my head,

The familiar voices of chatter amongst a crowd,

It feels like a page in a book I must have read,

Its wholesome and very loud,

The humanly touch to art and design is admirable,

How we wonder is it ‘to be or not’,

Bliss overflows in my heart which is quite memorable,

Our minds and hands were not made for rot,

The sun can never compare to humankind,

Our warmth reaches and caresses hearts,

Those who do not believe are blind,

It’s easy to wait but it’s urgent to start,

Oblivious of life and twists yet to bring,

‘To love and be Loved’ is what humans cling,
