To, Dear Brain

By Shriddhi Singhal

Dear brain

I’m tired of you. And I’m writing this to let you know that I’m suffering. Terribly suffering. It’s not that I

don’t love you, I do dear brain, you are dear to me. But please, let me breathe. Have a day when you

don’t run away. A day when I can just feel, without worrying about poor eyes.

A day where I can beat calmly, I don’t want to rush or feel those endorphins. Dear brain, can you please

forget everyone for just one day. Can you teach me to be cruel, dear brain, cause I care too much. I care

about you too, dear brain, but you are too fast, I can’t catch up to you. I feel broken, dear brain.

Have mercy on me. For a day, I’d like to be just pumping blood, and not collecting my pieces.

Dear brain, have pity on me.

Your dear

Heart
