So, has the realisation hit yet?

That how wrong it all is..

That how bad it has been..

That even though you had a lot, you had so little..

That loving unconditionally is insanely impossible for you..

That you don’t even understand it, as you never felt it..

That you've been so limited, by their beliefs..

That you never really tried to become yourself..

That you were happy when they were happy..

That you were sad when you couldn’t fulfill their dreams..

That it broke you into pieces when you saw the truth..

That finally now, you have to be you..

That nothing is more important than finding yourself..

That no one can dictate your goals, your life..

That the roots tying you down are rotten..

That it’s time to fly away..

That it’s time to breathe deep and sigh and cry..

As your finally free.
