When the world is at its feet,

what do you want to be?

I want to be an accessibility parking space-

an unmoving haven to hold injury,

a place to rest; a pause between now and next.

I want to be a wheelchair

and I want to be crutches,

and I want to be what helps hurting

find healing.

I want to be accessible. I want to be known.

Not as myself alone, but as a piece of others.
