This is but a profane of thy name

Yet words are all I can muster

Thine presence is as ethereal as

The rain is lustre

Though

It was as sure as the waves on a raging sea that

You. were my constant

The hull on my sinking ship

Buoyant in the currents

Bashing against thy endless seas of time

[ ]

For one such as you

Loss is more than a wound could ever do

It would have been a mercy

To have died with you.

A part of me did

At your loss, I lost myself

Yet thy love is still carried

Heavy on my shoulders

A burden, yet not

To the past that is lost

To the safety of my childhood

To the dreams gone by

To the world I had

To the loss of myself
