10. To A Great Friendship

A truly good friend you are Though our bond is from afar Share stories of days gone by Laugh aloud we don’t know why

In our twenties we cajole

Now we can still rock and roll Our children help to share joy Without having to be coy

In our sixties we both know We have to learn to let go

Dreams may fade and plans may fly Sweet memories never die

Our children we have nurtured Prepared them for the future They can rise above the rest And do things they do the best

Note: Every line has 7 syllables Message to an old friend
